Late Rev. J.D. Majova commemorated - The  good works of the Late Rev. J.D. Majova were commemorated in a Community Hall  names after him at Mt Frere in the Eastern Transkei District within the Eastern Cape  Province.

The Bantu Methodist Church of Southern Africa had a service especially organised to commemorate the good words of the late Rev. Majova.  The Church was inspired by the Umzimvubu Local Government and Alfred Ndzo District Municipality when they built the Community Hall in Ward 21  and named it after the stalwart of the Church and the messenger of the Good News.

The service was graced by the presence of the Ward Councillor F. Ngonyolo in whose ward the Hall is built, she was highly praised for the idea of honouring the man of God by naming the hall after him.  The presence of  Deputy Executive Mayor of the Alfred Ndzo District Municipality who is also the Chairperson of the ANC’s Region, that is none other than the Honourable Mr S. Mehlomakhulu.  In his speech he thanked the Church in the role that the Church played to liberate the citizens of South Africa and he further asked the Church to  continue with the struggle of liberating the people mentally, spiritually, morally and otherwise.  He further stated that there will be no service delivery if people were not liberated as stated above because they will vandalise the infrastructure.

The Service of the day was conducted by the President of Conference Dr Rev. G.B.M. Mtshotshisa whose sermon was based on Esther 6:6  What shall be done to the man whom the king delights to honour?”  The message from the President was loud, clear and inspiring.

We thank everyone who graced this service with their presence and those who graced it with their prayers.
